While this may be about long scarves for girls, it’s great to have more than one option. I have a variety; some are short, some are long and my brother has a soft, winter animal scarf that has a loop attached so you can thread one end through to keep it in place.
When most people think scarves, they think winter but you don’t always need to use one for winter. I have selected three different scarves that have a top rating to give you the confidence to buy one .
These are my picks for long scarves for girls.
How To Wear A Scarf
Scarves are worn sometimes for comfort and warmth but did you consider that scarves are a great accessory. If your dress is fairly plain then you can brighten it up with a scarf to add that slash of color.
Scarves can be worn as something to keep you warm, keep the sun off your face or skin or decoratively. There are so many options with color that it is hard to stop at one scarf.
You can mix and match and choose a long scarf made of silk or a warm soft scarf for winter.
If you think you might need a scarf for the beach then you can wrap it around your hat and pin it for later use.
Another novel way to wear a scarf is to use it like a belt. I like to do this with white 3/4 pants and wear a pair of sandals to match a color from within the scarf.
A long scarf is great if you want to loop your scarf to make it easy to wear without the ends getting in the way. Here are the instruction to do this.
- double the scarf over,
- take an end in each hand, (one end will be folded and the other will be the two ends)
- place it at the back of your neck,
- Put the two open ends through the loop of the other end and there you have it!
Another great way to use a scarf is as a shawl if it is wide enough. Generally, it’s good to choose a light weight scarf that fits nicely around your shoulders. One of the scarves I have shown above is a warm winter one that is both long and wide and would be ideal for this. It generally isn’t easy to find this type of scarf.
